Obituary

Gerard A. Vaillancourt, born May 6, 1924 Canada, passed away September 6, 2020 with his two daughters, Jerilyn and Karen by his side.He was known by most as Jerry.Born to Edoured and Eugenie (Fortin) Vaillancourt, he had three sisters, Annette LeVesque , Dorothy Vien and Yvonne Mansourian and brother Lionel (Bibi) Vaillancourt (all passed). He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ruth Vaillancourt and his two daughters, Jerilyn and Karen.
Jerry met Ruth in Salisbury, Ma in 1946 and were married February 8,1947.They moved from Massachusetts in 1955 to California to pursue a better life.He was married to his wife Ruth (Hall) Vaillancourt for 73 years and loved spending time with his family and the holidays they shared together. They had two daughters, Jerilyn and Karen and enjoyed a good family life. They liked to bowl, square dance, play cards and camp with friends and in later years enjoyed traveling the world. He loved his friends and neighbors and would do just about anything for them.Jerry was a machinist by trade and retired at age 67 at which time he then enjoyed playing bingo and volunteering at the Yorba Linda Senior Center.
Some of the things he loved were, cars (every two years when he had his way),King Crab and Lobster (every time he had the opportunity),watches, Boat rides on Mission Viejo Lake and riding in the front seat of Jerilyn's RV on the way to Mammoth, CA.Apparently, he also loved Moms beans which talked non-stop about on the day he died to all that would listen.
He will be missed by all who knew him, but he will not be forgotten.
