Obituary

بهار بود و تو بودي و عشق بود و اميد

بهار رفت و تو رفتي و هر چه بود گذشت

شبي به عمر گرم خوش گذشت آن شب بود

كه در كنار تو با نغمه و سرود گذشت

It was spring, you were here, I had love and hope

Spring went away, you left, and all we had is gone

If there was ever a night of joy in my life, it was that night

Which I spent next to you, with the melody and anthem of love

Our beloved wife, sister, and aunt Guity Kay Reeves passed away on April 12, 2016 at her home in Laguna Niguel, California after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband Richard Reeves, her brothers Mehdi and Parviz Naghibzadeh (wife Cheryl, nephew Shapor, niece Zhaleh and grandniece and grandnephew Teddy and Vera), her sister Simin Daroui, her niece Dr. Parima Daroui (husband Reza Khalili) and her grandniece and grandnephew Shaya and Ellya Khalili. She was preceded in death by her sister Pari, her brother Iraj (daughters Jinous, Venus and Farinaz) and her brother Houshang (sons Saman and Kian).

Guity was born in Tehran, Iran to her parents Merat Jahanbani and Alaeddin Naghibzadeh, where she met and married Richard, the love of her life and her husband of 42 years. Guity spent some of her younger years in London, England and after her marriage and a few years in Tehran, she moved to Ohio where she worked for over 28 years as a successful realtor. She later moved to California in 2012 for treatment at UCI Medical Center after her cancer diagnosis.

Guity loved golfing, cooking and tending her garden. She was a loving wife and an affectionate and treasured aunt. Guity had a vibrant love of life and a fun-loving spirit, with a wonderful sense of humor. She adored her grandniece Ellya and grandnephew, Shaya and will be sorely missed by them and her family.

Friends and family are invited to her Celebration of Life on April 24, 2016 and to share memories and comments on this site.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (Pancan.org/donate).
