Harold "Bud" Grantham - an 86 year-old native of Los Angeles, California, former resident of Moss Point, Mississippi, and current resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020.
He was a veteran of the United Army Corps of Engineers and a veteran of the Korean War. He graduated at the top of his class from the University of Southern California where he earned both a bachelor's degree and master's degree. Mr. Grantham served as a professor of history and dean of humanities at El Camino College, retiring after many years of service.
Mr. Grantham was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Houston Grantham and Maude Ritter Grantham, and brothers, Leighton Grantham and Bob Grantham.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Janette Taggart Grantham; children, David Grantham, Dan Grantham (Jayne), Andy Taggart (Karen), Jon Taggart (Lolita), and Jimmy Taggart (Sharon); grandchildren, Kris Grantham, Kimberly Grantham Clark, Ken Grantham, Jacob Grantham, Drew Taggart, Rob Taggart, Jaime Taggart Bell, Sarah Taggart Ratliff, Allison Taggart, and Samantha Taggart Morgan; sister, Betty Jo Grantham; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
