Harold Wilson Hansen, II ("Big H") of Westminster, California, passed away on January 7, 2017, at the age of 74 in Fountain Valley, California and was surrounded by his loved ones.He is survived by his wife, Loyce Hansen, as well as his children:Jill Johsz and Julie Hansen; grandchildren:Krista and Erik Bosshart, and Stephanie and Christopher Messick.
Harold was born in Fort Lewis, Washington.Throughout his teen years, Harold assisted his mother at her candy shop at the Pike in Long Beach, California.Harold met his high school sweetheart and wife, Loyce, while attending Long Beach Jordan High School.Harold then attended and completed sheet metal workers trade school.After a few years of working in the heating and air conditioning business, he went on to own and operate his own business, Air Design Systems.Harold was a hardworking person, and provided a wonderful life for his family.He retired at the age of 50, and looked forward to spending time with his family and friends throughout his retirement.
Although Harold had serious mobility issues from his rare muscular disease in the latter part of his life, his spirit for life had no impairments.Harold enjoyed going with Loyce and their friends to Las Vegas and Laughlin a few times a year where he would hit the sports book, and play keno, black jack, craps and slots (and every once in a while even win).Big H, as his close friends called him, was a diehard sports fan and loved watching all sports.But his favorite sport was football.
Harold was the best husband, father, grandfather and uncle and will be missed.
A service and reception will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at McCormick and Son Mortuaries located at 25000 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, California.
