Helen Corinne Rostoker, born February 16, 1921, passed away on April 11, 2014 at the age of 93. She is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Norman Rostoker, her four children, Stephen Rostoker, Ruth Forton, Linda Rostoker and Rachel Uchizono, as well as grandchildren Lisa Servedio, Nolan Uchizono and Kellen Uchizono, and one great grandchild, Sofia Servedio.

Corinne was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, the daughter of the late William McIntyre and Charlotte Pomeroy, and raised in the town of Fullarton, Ontario, Canada. After a stint in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Corinne attended the University of Toronto, majoring in household studies. She met her husband Norman, who was her physics teaching assistant, at a bus stop that they shared. Corinne got an "A" in Physics and taught Norman to play bridge. They married on August 28, 1948 and moved to Pittsburgh, PA where Norman completed his Ph.D. at Carnegie Institute of Technology. Corinne and Norman lived in San Diego from 1956 to 1967 and relocated to Ithaca, New York from 1967 to 1972, where Norman was a professor at Cornell. They then moved back to California in 1972, when Norman joined the Physics Department faculty at UCI. Corinne has been active in UCI Town and Gown and Stage Door Repertory Theatre, as well as maintaining her reputation as a bridge player nonpareil. Norman and Corinne traveled extensively well into their golden years, including visits to Italy, the Middle East, China and the Mediterranean.

Corinne will be greatly missed by her family and wide circle of friends.
