Henny Safarina Croudy
December 22, 1955 - December 12, 2025
Mrs. Henny Safarina Croudy, aged 69, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 12, 2025, at her residence. She was born on December 22, 1955, in Bandung Indonesia, as the beloved daughter of the late bapa H. Sulaeman and ema H. Omoh Nurhasanah.
Henny was preceded in death by her sister, H. Lilis Khodijah. She is survived by her husband, John Croudy; her two daughters, Annie Phillips (Shane) and Eulis Ester (Kean); her son, Dadin Kusnadi; her three grandchildren, James Kusnadi, Ayu Sofyan and Ronnie Ester; her brothers, Asep Saepudin and Dadan Suhendar; her sister, Rika Mustika; and many other extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss her spirit, warmth, and generous heart.
Born and raised in Bandung, Indonesia, Henny moved to Southern California in 1987, where she planted new roots and built a life defined by resilience, adventure, and unwavering love. Her journey carried her from Bandung, to the coast of California. A passionate traveler and lifelong learner, she embraced cultures, people, and experiences with open arms, always living life fully and fearlessly.
In her retirement, Henny found joy in creatively quilting beautiful patterns, long walks along the beach, and cherishing her quiet days with her beloved cats, Keik-Keik and Goosey, who were constant companions and sources of comfort. Known for her infectious laugh, her famous beef rendang, and her gift for making every gathering feel like home, Henny had a rare ability to bring people together. She lived boldly and loved deeply, always wishing peace for others and extending kindness freely – to family, friends, and strangers. Her life can be beautifully summed in three words: Love, Adventure, and Joy.
A celebration of Henny's extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at McCormick & Son Mortuary in Laguna Hills. Family and friends are welcome to come at any time to share stories, laughter, and love as we honor a woman who meant so much to so many.
