Obituary
Irene Ursula Blain (Faucher) was born on January 9, 1926 in Methuen Massachusetts. She passes to our Lord on November 6, 2016, in Laguna Woods, Calif., at the age of 90.
She married George H. Blain on May 15, 1948 in Roxbury, Mass. (George passed to our Lord on October 7, 1992, at the age of 72).
Irene and George and 1 child, Janice, moved to Lemon Grove, Calif. in 1953. There she lived a good life and give birth to 3 more children, Ann, Brian and Sandra.
Due to a job change they moved to Garden Grove, Calif. in 1964. Irene pursued her career with Unitard Ins, now John Hancock Ins.. She was an Underwriter and met many people who were her friends for many years.
She and George were active members of the 101st Airborne where they participated in many activities with other veterans of the 101st.
Irene enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She made all of her children and grandchildren Afghans and many were done with personal selections of each child, she added her professional design and skilled technic to each item made. She created baby blankets and baby clothes for her great-grandchildren until her ability to read patterns became difficult.
Other interests for Irene included Jigsaw puzzles, Bingo, Card Games and visiting with her family.
She is survived by her 4 children:
