IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacinto Capule
Dy Panco Jr
November 24, 1954 – June 24, 2024
Jacinto Dy Panco, Jr., born November 24, 1954 of La Habra CA, passed on Monday, June 24, 2024 after a long battle with lung cancer. Jun had spent his last months with his wife and siblings in Palm Terraces before being admitted to Providence Mission Viejo Hospital, where he had spent his final days.
He was lovingly known as Jun to his wife, Papa to his children and Lolo Junior to his grandkids. Jun is survived by his wife Madeline Dy Panco, whom he met during his college years in the Philippines, and children Jomer, Patrick, and Chilin, as well as grandchildren Jaci, Liam, and Lucas and daughter-in-law Kat, nieces, nephews, and his many, many dogs.
Born to Jacinto and Felicidad Dy Panco, he had six siblings Gloria Dayao (passed), Ali Hallberg, Rufo Dy Panco, Cornelia Premacio, Lily Dy Panco, and Lisa Mariano. Jun moved to California in the 90s, along with his siblings, to explore more work opportunities.
He worked at Varco Drillings Systems for several decades before eventually opting for an early retirement. Jun took pride in his grandkids, and would often ask for photos and videos of Jaci, Liam and Lucas as they were growing older. He would go on video calls with the grandkids and would always ask if they want anything.
A Mechanical Engineering major from Feati University, Jun had a propensity for Mathematics. He used to be Jaci and Liam's go to person when Math homework was becoming too complicated. Jun had a very unique, rather dry sense of humor. People around him would say he was a quiet man, but the few words they would hear from would always carry a big impact.
As a pet lover, Jun always had space to adopt one more dog. He had several dogs in both California and the Philippines that he lovingly took care of.
In recent years, Jun had bravely fought cancer, surpassing prognosis after prognosis until the very end. A true warrior with a zest for life and all it had to offer.
Jun will always be remembered by his those who love him as the most generous man you will ever meet.
