Jack L. Silvani passed away early in the morning of Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in San Juan Capistrano. Jack was known as "Jim", "Jimmy" or "Lord Jim" to his family and friends.
Jack was born on November 5, 1922 in Los Angeles, California to Lawrence and Frances Silvani. He served in the Pacific during World War II as a gunner's mate on the USS Harris and was honorably discharged. After his service he went to Barber's school and worked as a hair stylist in Hollywood for many years before opening up his own shop in Newport Beach, California. After retiring from hair styling, Jack owned and operated The Mexico Lindo restaurant in San Juan Capistrano and drove cars for dealer trades with Allen Cadillac/GMC.
In 1949 he married Gilda Tafoya. They were married for 50 years and had three children before she passed away in November of 1999.
Jack is survived by his children Lisa, Jeff and James as well as his grand daughter, Kaylee.
There will be no services. He will have his ashes spread with those of his wife, Gilda.
