Obituary

Jacqueline Laura Levy, age 51, of San Juan Capistrano, passed away peacefully at her home on January 12, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., surrounded by her loving husband and other loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jacqueline was born on July 3, 1974, in Bellflower, California, to Lupe and Jack Eras. She was raised in Hacienda Heights, where she grew up alongside her brothers, Christopher and David. From a young age, Jacqueline was known for her warmth, leadership, and deep devotion to family. She cherished being an auntie to her brothers' children, delighted in taking them to the movies, the beach, and swimming in Grandma's pool. Her closest friendships were lifelong, many beginning in childhood and continuing well beyond high school. Among her cousins, she was lovingly known as "the leader of the pack."

On March 11, 2006, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Jeremy Levy, in Altadena, California. Together they built a beautiful life and were just shy of celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. Their greatest joy was welcoming their son, Jaxon, who was the center of Jacqueline's world.

Professionally, Jacqueline was an accomplished interior designer, a top-performing salesperson, and later a successful real estate agent. In retirement, she found great fulfillment serving her parish by assisting with wedding coordination and being actively involved in Jaxon's school activities.

Jacqueline and Jeremy began their life together in Las Vegas, where they welcomed Jaxon, before returning to California in 2020, settling in San Juan Capistrano, a place she truly called home.

Jacqueline had a heart for service and a love for creating meaningful experiences. She enjoyed hiking with Jeremy, Jaxon, and their beloved dog Cash, traveling to tropical destinations, laughing with her cousins, and building lasting family memories. Her faith guided every part of her life. A devoted Catholic, Jacqueline was an active member of Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano, where she assisted with both wedding and funeral coordination—work she found deeply meaningful. She prayed the rosary daily and held a profound, unwavering relationship with the Lord.

Jacqueline will be remembered for her grace, humility, and steadfast faith. She was a loyal friend and confidant, a loving wife, and a devoted mother whose kindness and compassion touched everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband Jeremy Levy, her son Jaxon Levy, and her brothers Christopher (Cristine) and David (Jonnine). She is also survived by six nieces and three nephews, and was a cherished godmother to Andrew, Melissa, Tulip-Kaye, and Miranda. Jacqueline is also survived by her beloved pets, Cash and Honey.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lupe Eras (October 2020), and her father, Jack Eras (November 2024).

A Funeral Mass will be held on January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano, officiated by Reverend Monsignor J. Michael McKiernan. Reception details will be provided at the Mass. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McCormick & Son Mortuaries.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses who cared for Jacqueline over the past year and a half, and to the many family members and friends who prayed for her. Special thanks to all who offered Holy Rosaries in her name, and to those who continue to surround Jeremy and Jaxon with love, prayers, and support.

Jacqueline's faith, love, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
