James Gordon Reddon August 13, 1926 – September 24th 2018
Jim passed away peacefully at his home in Laguna Beach on September 24th, 2018. Jim was born on the family farm in Olds Alberta Canada in 1926 and remained there until moving to British Columbia and then California where he attended University in both areas. He moved to Los Angeles in the 1950's and finally settled in Laguna Beach in the early 1970's. After gaining a strong work ethic on the farm, Jim completed his University education and worked for many years in the book publishing industry. He then enjoyed many years in his retirement traveling and enjoying the home that he loved. Jim was always quick with a joke, a political opinion, and more than anything a willingness to help those in need.
Jim was pre deceased by his soul mate Tim Turkington, and his siblings, Jean Tromp, Art Reddon, and Ed Reddon all of Alberta Canada. He is survived and much loved by many nieces, nephews and long-time friends from all over the US and Canada, and around the world. He was also survived by his friend, caregiver, and overall "Guardian Angel" over the last few years Suzie Isa.
Jim's family will be having an open house and Celebration of life to provide the opportunity for those that are able, to say farewell to Jim on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 at 755 Balboa Ave Laguna Beach California between 2 pm and 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA in Jim's name.
