Jim Rubadeau was born January 19, 1935 in Madison, Wisconsin to August and Dorothy Rubadeau. He has two sisters, Jane and Joyce, who both predeceased him leaving a niece and nephews, Joyce, Patrick and Charles.
The family moved to Los Angeles when Jim was a young child. He attended Cathedral High School and then USC, where he graduated with a B.A. Degree and later a Master's Degree.
Jim had three successful careers: in business with North American Aviation, self-employed as a real estate broker in Long Beach and a wine and hospitality educator in the Napa Valley.
He was married for 54 years to Joan and they had three children, John who died as newborn infant, Jason who is employed in the aircraft industry and Jamie who is employed in the computer business. There is one grandchild, Jackie Webber, who is attending high school in Sebastopol, California.
Jim enjoyed fishing, camping - the outdoors - and reading and crosswords. He was engaged in creating his own crosswords and hoped to get them published. He loved watching sports and in his younger years, playing basketball.
He will be missed - his ready wit and conservative point of view of life and politics, his generosity and loyalty, love of music and humor.
