Obituary
Jane (Jenny) New died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 23, 2018 at her home in Orange, California.
Jenny was born on September 9, 1956 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Doyle (Dan) and Doris New, who preceded her in death.While an infant, Jane's family relocated to Orange County where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Always surrounded by pets, a joy in Jenny's life were her cat Lacy and dog Teddy.She was an avid horseback rider and spent many happy hours in the saddle, trail riding with friends in Orange Park Acres on her favorite horse, Vegas.
An enthusiastic reader, there was always a new novel in Jenny's Kindle, along with a daily electronic copy of the Los Angeles Times.
Jenny is survived by her sister, Debbie Hanson (spouse Ralph), and nephew Evan Wehunt, along with many cousins.
For the past 10 years Jenny worked for Superior Court at the Juvenile Justice Center in Orange.
Scattering of ashes at sea was arranged by McCormick and Son Mortuary.Plans for a celebration of Jenny's life are pending.
