Jean St. Hilaire was born on December 11, 1926 in Natick, Mass. (near Boston) to her parents Joseph and Sarah St. Hilaire. She passed away on August 30, 2015.
Jean lived many years in Long Beach, California where she was a very committed Special Education Teacher in the Public School System.
Twenty-plus years ago Jean moved to Laguna Woods after retiring from the California Public School System. She became a respected and successful Real Estate Agent in the Laguna Woods Community until her retirement from that arena a number of years ago.
Jean loved a number of things passionately.
Irv Warner was her long-time boyfriend. He bought a house in Laguna Woods from Jean, and shortly thereafter their twenty-plus year romance began.
Jean also loved her boxers until they passed away and her beloved cat "Kitty" was her constant companion to the end.
Jean had many friends in Laguna Woods. She and Irv loved their social life.
Jean was also very active physically. For years she was an avid golfer. She also loved to tell of her weekly 8 mile roller skating adventures in Long Beach along the beach with Irv following along on his bicycle. Until recent months, she was still exercising vigorously using her in-house exercise equipment.
Jean was also a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Laguna Woods. A Funeral Mass will be held there in the coming days.
Jean is survived by her sister, Marie, and six nephews and nieces who care for her very much.
Jean passed away on Sunday, August 30TH, in Yorba Linda approximately eleven days after a serious health event at home in Laguna Woods. She was peaceful and comfortable in her final days.
Jean will be buried at the All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Long Beach near her parents' graves. The internment is scheduled for Friday, September 4th at 11 am. A graveside service is planned.
The family thanks all of her friends for sharing their lives with this wonderful person.
