Jimmy Cheng passed away October 12, 2021 at his home in Laguna Woods, California. He was 92 years old. He has two younger sisters and threeyounger brothers.
Jimmy was born on March 1, 1929 in Shanghai, China. He married his wife, Fidelia, in 1962.He received his degree in Economicsfrom St John University inShanghai China.He became an English teacher at High school and college in China before emigrating to the United States in 1990.
In his 20's, he was struck with a non-curable Macular Degeneration. It slowly impaired his vision. However, it never stopped Jimmy from enjoying his life to the fullest. He had a passion for cooking.He always loved to experiment with new recipes and shared the fruits of his labor with his loved ones. He also enjoyed traveling, photography and taking long walks.
Jimmy is survived by wife (Fidelia), daughter (Lisa), sisters (Yi Mei and Yi Wen), and brothers (Yi Zhong and Yi Gan).
Jimmy was kind and generous with a constant smile on his face. Memory of his contagious smile and his constant companion (magnifying glass) will always be with us.
