Joann Kathryn Evert, born May 3, 1938 passed peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on May 26, 2021 in her home. She was a devoted mother of Lori A. Mahoney and her husband, Richard, of Quincy, MA, Michael A. DeBono of Long Beach, CA, and Paul C. DeBono and his wife, Lisa, of Aliso Viejo, CA. Joann was a loving "Nama" of Caitlin, Connor, Anthony, and Joshua. As an avid dog-lover, the lucky dogs in her life were all nicknamed by her as "Gigi's," short for God's Gift. Joann was a fun loving, spirited woman who always cared for others prior to tending to her own needs. She was a woman of great faith and touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and sense of humor. She had a talented and creative mind and shared her gift in many ways such as knitting, crocheting, and crafting.

Joann's greatest pleasure in her life were the accomplishments of her children and watching her grandchildren chase their dreams. She will be remembered as a compassionate woman and a loyal, beloved mother and Nama who always put others first prior to herself.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:00am at Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church 20444 Magnolia Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92646.
