John Edmund Baublits, Jr., 79 ,went to be with the Lordon Sunday, September 27, 2020 at home with his wife, Marny and daughter, Julie by his side.He was born on September 22, 1941 in Phoenix, Arizona and was the only child of John and Amalia (Altergott) Baublits. He is survived by his wife Marny Baublits, his son Jeff Baublits, and daughter Julie Broccardo and grandsons, Trinity, Keelan, Aiden and Hayes and many cousins.
John served in the US Air Force and then continued his education, graduating from USC with an MBA.He and his wife, Florence, had two children, Jeff and Julie Baublits. He had a long career in the semiconductor field, traveling and living abroad including in Brazil, Hong Kong, Mexico and Korea.
He was born a desert kid who fell in love with the ocean.He spent his weekends sailing his beloved Catalina 30 "Makai" with his children and friends. He was a sailor at heart and loved both cruising and racing.And yet he never forgot his beloved Arizona deserts.John and Marny met in 1994, married and spent the next 26 years living aboard, sailing, traveling, fellowshipping with their Shuvah family and loving the Lord. One friend summed it up, "His life was about family, boating and Yeshua (Jesus)".A staunch believer that God is proven in science, he enjoyed Creation Science Fellowship, biblical archaeology and apologetics.
His dry humor, kind demeanor and twinkling eyes are missed.
