John Edward Degli, 59, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Mission Hospital in Lake Forest, California. After graduating from Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Ohio, John moved to Southern California; his home of 41 years. John's love was the Pacific Ocean where he was an avid shark fisherman. John's many friends loved him for his calm kindness and soft, generous heart. John enjoyed working with his hands and was very skilled. He could fix anything. He was a hard worker who enjoyed being part of the RSD team in Lake Forest, CA. John loved his "Honorary Grandchildren" Joseph, Peter and Dahlia Mosier. He enjoyed years of being "Grandpa".

John was preceded in death by his father Richard A. Degli and grandparents Bruno and Jennie Degli, and John and Linda Dell'Arco. He was preceded in death by his best friend, Thorpe "Sharkey" Reeder. John is survived by his mother, Linda L Maybury, sisters Alexia Hussey (Bobby) and Linda J. Hoffman (Kenneth), nephews Michael (Sarah) and Anthony (Michelle Bacha) Nicholson, and grandnieces Penelope and Caroline Nicholson. John was also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends in Ohio, Florida, California and Washington who loved him.
