John Joseph Lombardo, born February 25, 1958 in Buffalo NY, died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family, on January 25, 2018 at 8:40 AM, one month before his 60th birthday.Born to John and Carol Lombardo, he had four siblings Bernadette, Chipper(deceased), Dawn, and Jennifer.
He is survived by his parents John and Carol Lombardo, his sistersBernadette Halter, Dawn Banning, and Jennifer Bushey;his brother-in-laws Roger Halter, Mike Banning and Matt Allred; his nephews Jared Banning and Ian Halter; and his nieces Aubrey Banning, Michayla Banning and Madison Bushey.
John wasdiagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at age 7, but he never let that hold him back.He had a mantra, "Never let the things you can't do, get in the way of the things you can", and he lived life to the fullest.It was this mantra that pushed him to do the things he loved to do.He had many hobbies.He loved to sing Karaoke, "What a Wonderful World" was his favorite which would bring tears to the eyes of all who heard him sing it.He painted beautiful pictures using his mouth as he lost use of his hands in his early 20's. He bowled being proud of his record for bowling over a 700 in a three game series.He also loved his Buffalo Bills andBuffalo Sabres, and don't you dare say anything against them.
He had a love for life, an amazing faith in the Lord and a smile for anyone who was lucky enough to meet him.This will be celebrated with a viewing on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at McCormick & Son Mortuary 25000 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92637.
