IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jonathan Reid
Veltz
December 10, 1981 – December 11, 2022
Jonathan passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2022 in Long Beach, California. He celebrated his 41st birthday the day before his passing with his wife and three children.
Jonathan was born on December 10, 1981 at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California to his father, Dennis Stephen Veltz and his mother, Debra Marie Ehrenfeld/Veltz.
Jonathan grew up in Mission Viejo, California. He attended Valley View Christian Preschool, Carl Hankey Elementary school, Newhart Middle School and Capistrano Valley High School. He enjoyed playing baseball and football throughout those years.
Jonathan had many professions throughout his life. Welding was one of his first passions. He also loved installing and fixing garage doors, audio/video work, construction and more recently security. Although, he enjoyed anything that allowed him to work with his hands and use his creative mind.
Jonathan treasured spending time with his family. They loved doing new things together, going on adventures and creating beautiful memories. He loved going to the beach, the park, the pool and playing sports with them. Working out at the gym was one of his favorite things to do. You could find him there on most days. He also enjoyed reading, watching movies, cooking, golfing and fishing. Going to church with his family was also important to him. He was the biggest animal lover. He was an amazing artist who loved to draw. He liked collecting tools and would fix anything that was broken.
Jonathan is survived and forever cherished by his mother Debra Veltz, his wife Sarah Veltz and their three children, Skylynn, Stone and Steel. He is also survived by his sister Tara Veltz and her children, Haley, Alexis, Carson and Cash, brother Chad Veltz (Rachel) and their children, Kylee, Taylor, Harley, Kain, Maverick and Rhett.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Veltz.
Jonathan loved his family fiercely and deeply, they meant everything to him. His wife and children were the light of his life. All Jonathan wanted was to provide for his family and to give them a wonderful life. Jonathan will forever live on in his beautiful children. He was a man of faith and we take comfort in knowing he is home with the Lord and at peace.
My son, it gives me peace to know you're resting in God's hands. Visit me in my dreams and save us all a space next to you. I love you forever. Love Mom
"You never said I'm leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home." Author Unknown We love you forever TTWFO.
