Joseph McFaddin Paxton Jr., born September 17 1932 in Toledo OH. Graduated from Cornell University with a degree in civil / structural engineering. Worked for several large construction firms in charge of large commercial projects in SanFrancisco, New York, London, and Warsaw. Married to Margaretha N. Paxton for 46 years. They lived in a Hillsborough home designed and built by Joseph, owner of Paxton Construction. They have one son, Joseph M. Paxton III, wife Melissa Paxton, grandchildren Connor, Makenna, and Ryder. Four children from previous marriage including Stephen, Michael (deceased), Ken, and Becky. Grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, Justin, Madelyn, and Maxfield. Sister Ann and husband Howell.

A memorial service will be held February 19, 2018 at 1:00PM at First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame - 1500 Easton Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010. The Paxton family thanks you for friendship and attending the service. There will be a reception immediately following the service. For those who have asked memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association
