IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith Kay
Justice
June 27, 1940 – October 19, 2024
Judith (Judy) Kay Justice passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the age of 84 in her beloved Mission Viejo home of the past 57 years. Born to Everett and Neva Swineheart on June 27, 1940, Judy was raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana and grew up on the Swineheart family farm with her younger brother, David. After graduating from Ball State's Teachers College, she moved to Orange County, California where she enjoyed teaching elementary school over a span of nearly 40 years. She married the love of her life, fellow educator Cal Justice, in 1966, and together they had two children, Michele & Jeff.
Judy was well-loved for her sense of humor and adventurous spirit. She and Cal enjoyed many years as season ticket-holders to Rams games and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. She loved traveling–cruises especially–and exploring all that the Disneyland Resort had to offer with family. As Grandma, Judy delighted in baking treats with her grandsons and taking them out to lunch and a movie. She loved spending time with friends; having lunch, playing cards, crafting, taking trips to the casino and attending various events. She also enjoyed the company and silly antics of her cat, Daisy. Her pride and joy was tending to her beautiful garden.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Cal, in 1989. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Falvo, and son-in-law, John Falvo; son, Jeff Justice, and daughter-in-law, Cathy Justice; grandsons, Nathan Justice & Ryan Justice; brother, David Swineheart and sister-in-law, Karen Swineheart; niece, Laura Auer (Swineheart) and nephew, Nathan Swineheart.
The family held a graveside service at El Toro Memorial Park on November 1, 2024, in honor of Judy's life.
