Obituary
Julia Josephine Berretta, age 96, passed away January 9, 2015 at home in Laguna Niguel, California, where she resided with her daughter Sandra.
Julia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Julia had the whistle of a songbird and entertained her family with rousing renditions of old songs, including, "Oh You Nasty Man." She touched many lives with her endless generosity and selflessness. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life.
Julia was born August 29, 1918 in Hudson, Pennsylvania to Elizabeth and Otto Binker. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Charles Berretta. She was also predeceased by sisters Betty Catani and Dorothy DeAnthony of Hudson, PA, brothers Joe of Alabama, Frank of Hudson, and Otto Binker of New Cumberland, PA. She was a member of Saint Barbara's Parish in Exeter, Pennsylvania. Julia is survived by her sister Mary Drew and brothers Paul and John of Hudson, daughters Charlene Daly of Scarborough, Maine and Sandra Brown of Laguna Niguel, California, and son Karl Berretta of Harding, Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
