Karen Joyce Conyers

Beloved sister, aunt, friend and teacher to thousands of students in Kansas and Santa Ana, CA has passed away. Born September 17, 1937 in Marion Kansas, died April 22, 2014, after a short illness. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Winifred Conyers and sister Marilyn. She will be missed by her brother Keith (Mary Ann) Conyers and her sister Kristine (Walter) Andrew, her nephew Jeffrey (Lissa) Conyers, her nieces Lisa Andrew and Michelle (Eric) Pope, and six great nieces and nephews. Joyce will also be missed by her many friends, retired colleagues and fellow quilters. Joyce graduated from Emporia State University and taught at Willard Junior High school in the Santa Ana School District for 35 years. She loved to garden, travel, entertain, quilt and attend Broadway musicals. A Celebration of Joyce's life will be held at her home on Saturday May 3, 2014 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
