Kenneth "Ken" Flint passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and friendship. Ken lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and an enduring sense of adventure.
Born in Guatemala, Ken spent his childhood there before moving to Los Angeles as a teenager. It was there that he met the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Claudia Hingston Flint. Together they built a life, raising their two daughters in Laguna Beach and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
Ken served his country as a veteran of the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that shaped his deep commitment to fellow veterans. After his military service, he dedicated the remainder of his career to helping veterans through his work with the U.S. Veterans Administration. His compassion, understanding, and commitment to those who served earned him the respect and gratitude of countless colleagues and veterans alike.
Perhaps nowhere was Ken happier than on the water. Sailing was his passion, and he found peace, freedom, and joy aboard a sailboat, carried by the wind and surrounded by the beauty of the sea. Those moments reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for life's simple pleasures.
Ken's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his daughter, Alisa Flint; his son-in-law, Dustin Tench; and his beloved granddaughter, Torrey Tench.
Though he will be deeply missed, Ken's memory lives on in the family he loved, the friends he cherished, the veterans he served, and the stories that will continue to be shared by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
