Obituary

Leslie J. Scollo, born on December 3, 1964, in Meriden, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at her home in Mission Viejo, California, on July 5, 2025.

She is lovingly remembered by her beloved 4 legged son, Rigatoni, affectionately known as Riggs; her sister Leah Tuttle, her husband John, and their two children, Jordan and Jack; her California sister Kate Mirkovich, her family; and her "brother from another mother," Brian Foley, and his husband Russ.

Leslie dedicated 37 years to a remarkable career in health insurance, beginning as an analyst and rising to the role of Vice President of Sales at Allied Health Benefits. She was deeply respected for her immense knowledge, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to her work.

Leslie lived life with passion and authenticity. She adored dogs, had a love for two-seater convertibles, and could often be found dancing to Motown music. She had an uncanny ability to quote lines from movies and TV shows—especially her beloved Golden Girls—with perfect timing and flair. Her quick wit, fierce independence, and unapologetic honesty were unforgettable. And no tribute to Leslie would be complete without mentioning her fierce disdain for Donald Trump, which she expressed with both humor and conviction.

Leslie fought a courageous 25+ year battle with breast cancer. Through it all, she faced every challenge with grace, dignity, and the unshakable spirit of a true badass—in a way only Leslie could.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held. Her immediate family will honor her memory with a private dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. In celebration of her love for animals, donations to the Humane Society or the ASPCA are welcomed and appreciated.

Leslie's warmth, humor, and strength left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
