IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leticia Molina
Pambuan
September 7, 1938 – March 3, 2023
Leticia Bustillo Molina Pambuan, born September 7, 1938 in Manila, Philippines, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Saddleback Memorial Care Hospital. Leticia was lovingly known as Ma to her children and Lola to her grandkids. Born to Pedro Molina and Magdalena Bendecio Bustillo, she was the last surviving of 3 siblings Rolando Bustillo and Ligaya Pamintuan. She is survived by her son, Anthony and her daughter Aileen and two grandchildren.
Leticia worked for the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Corporation (PLDT) in Manila as a phone operator. In August 1981 she moved to Southern California where she worked as a phone operator for the Los Angeles Times. She also worked for a brief period at the Immigration and Naturalization Service prior to retiring in the early 2000's.
When her first grandchild was born, she took great pride and joy in being a caregiver for him. Over the years, she would attend his school functions and sporting events. Two years ago, she was lucky enough to see her second grandchild born and live her remaining years with her.
Miss Letty as she was known to her many friends attended a number of get togethers and special events. She has built lifelong friendships with these women and considers them family.
She was a very generous person and provided both educational and financial support to extended family. This support allowed the next generation to rise out of poverty and become professionals and entrepreneurs in the various fields including finance, medicine, and technology. Many look up to her as a mentor and were inspired by her to "Dream Big."
