In Loving Memory of Liliosa Signo("Liling/Lily")
Born: November 12, 1936
Lumampong, Indang, Cavite, Philippines
Passed Away: July 3, 2023
San Clemente, California, USA
Liliosa Signo, known affectionately as Liling to her family and Lily to those she met, peacefully departed this world at her home in San Clemente after bravely battling dementia. She was the beloved child of Anselmo and Macaria Signo and grew up as the middle child among seven siblings—three older brothers, two younger sisters, and a younger brother.
Liliosa often recounted stories of her childhood, where she would walk to school every day, regardless of the weather. Growing up in a small town with limited means, she was surrounded by love from her family. Her determination and strong work ethic guided her throughout her life. She pursued higher education at an all-women's college in the Philippines, where she earned a bachelor's degree in commerce. Liliosa's professional journey led her to work in a metropolitan bank in her home country. Recognizing the value of education, Liliosa dedicated herself to supporting and providing educational opportunities for her younger siblings and relatives, ensuring they had the chance to pursue their dreams and build better lives.
Seeking freedom and opportunities, Liliosa moved to the United States. She initially worked at McGaw before embarking on a long and fulfilling career with AlliedSignal/Honeywell, where she dedicated nearly 25 years. She was not only a diligent businesswoman but also a savvy investor in real estate, acquiring numerous plots of land and properties.
Despite her accomplishments, Liliosa remained a modest and kind-hearted individual, always ready to lend a helping hand and give generously to others. Though shy by nature, her kindness and love knew no bounds. She touched the lives of many, giving so much of herself and expressing gratitude to God for every blessing bestowed upon her. She wholeheartedly dedicated her life to serving God and raising her beloved daughter, Janet.
Liliosa is survived by her cherished daughter, Janet, son-in-law Scott, and four grandchildren: Kianna, Justin, NiaLynn, and Milani. She is preceded in death by her parents, three older brothers, and two grandchildren, Leiyah and Nailah, who will forever hold a special place in her heart.
To honor Liliosa's memory and pay respects, a rosary vigil, and viewing will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McCormick & Son located at 25002 Moulton Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA 92637.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. Kilian Catholic Church, located at 26872 Estanciero Dr, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, followed by burial at Ascension Cemetery, located at 24754 Trabuco Rd, Lake Forest, CA 92630.
After the burial, a reception will be held at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 1-4pm, where friends and family can gather to celebrate Liliosa's life, share memories, and find comfort in each other's presence.
Liliosa's devotion to family and faith will continue to inspire and uplift us. While her heartwarming presence will be deeply missed, she finds solace in the loving memories and the legacy of love and generosity she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
