IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa Marie
Tedesco
August 6, 1958 – February 29, 2024
Lisa Marie Tedesco, born August 6, 1958, Brooklyn, NY, passed from cardiac arrest on Wednesday, February 29, 2024, in Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Lisa had a beautiful smile and an infectious personality. Everywhere she went she made lifelong friends. Many said that when she spoke to them, they felt like they were the most important person in the world.
Born to Thomas and Louise Bracco, she has three sister Prudance, Maria, and Christine, two Nephews Matthew and Henry, her husband Steve and daughter Tiffany. She loved them all dearly and was always there for them when they needed her.
Lisa and Steve first met on her birthday in August 1977. They worked together at the Italian Catering Hall that Lisa's father managed. Lisa was a hat check girl and Steve was a waiter. On July 2, 1978, they were married and moved to a small basement apartment in Brooklyn. One day Lisa asked, "Why do you get shampoo on the top of the shower everyday" Steve replied, "Because I am taller than you and my head touches the ceiling."
In 1979 they moved to Oklahoma City where Lisa managed a Comedy Club and later went on to be a booking agent for Comedians. They moved to California in 1985 and in 1986 they were blessed with their daughter Tiffany. Lisa's was a terrific mother who made sure Tiffany had everything a child needed to grow up to be a confident and successful person. She was proud of everything that Tiffany did and wanted to know every detail. Lisa took Tiffany and her friends everywhere, Disneyland, Sea World, Concerts, you name it. All of Tiffany's friends to this day still speak about how wonderfully she treated them.
Lisa made every Christmas and birthday a special event. She looked after every detail and made sure that everyone was having a wonderful time.
In the early 1990's Lisa was diagnosed with Leukemia. She bravely fought it for three long years and said that the only thing she wanted during that struggle was for her daughter to have everything all the other kids had and not miss anything because her Mom was sick. With that request she sealed a strong bond between her daughter and husband that lasts to this day. After bravely volunteering for a clinical trial, she received transfusions from umbilical cords and was slowly cured.
Lisa loved the beach and used to say it provided strength and calm for her. She loved a day at Newport Beach with Steve and Tiffany. On a vacation to Grand Caymen the day she arrived and saw the beautiful clear water she jumped right in with her clothes on.
On their 40th anniversary Lisa and Steve spend the weekend at a beachfront hotel with a special anniversary package. She was so proud that they had reached the 40 year milestone that she told everyone she saw. They would say wow 40 years of marriage to which she would reply "that's 40 years to each other". She always had a quick funny reply.
Everyone who she touched during her life will miss her warm smile, thoughtfulness, caring and love.
