Lorenzo Roberto Ronquillo, age 75, passed away on February 13, 2023. He was born in El Paso, Texas and resided in Lake Forest, CA for the past 40 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Martina and Adan Ronquillo, and his brother, Adam Ronquillo. He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Ronquillo (nee Latlip); daughter, Rubia Gafner (Jay); son Michael Ronquillo (Michelle); grandson, Ryan Ronquillo; brother, Oscar Ronquillo; sisters, Margaret Sanchez and Lydia Yeager and many nieces and nephews. Lorenzo was very dedicated to his family and loved them all dearly.
Lorenzo graduated from Jefferson High School in 1966 and joined the US Navy, where he worked as a Navy Corman. After 4 years in the Navy, he joined the Reserves, where he spent 5 years. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and worked in the semiconductor industry until 2009, when he retired from Boeing. He had many hobbies, including fishing, scuba diving, painting, skiing, traveling in his RV, wood working, and working with computers. His brain was constantly working and he was always learning new things and fixing and building things around the house.
Lorenzo was an active member of Mount of Olives Church in Mission Viejo, CA for many years. He also was active in the local neighborhood community and always strove to improve his neighborhood.
Lorenzo loved to laugh and to be around other people. He was full of stories and jokes and was always trying to help others. He had an infectious zest for life and always wanted to live life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
