*CELEBRANDO LA VIDA DE  EDUARDO BECERRA*

Luis Eduardo Becerra nació en Ubaté Cundinamarca Colombia, el día 14 de Abril de 1930. Sus Padres, Alberto Becerra y Teresa Garzon de Becerra

Eduardo fue uno de ocho hermanos. Leonor Becerra de Forero, Jose Becerra, Lilia Becerra, Isabel Becerra de Gonzalez, Alberto Becerra, Teresa Becerra de Rocha, y Jorge Becerra

Eduardo vivió en esta región Colombiana hasta completar sus 18 años de edad. La familia tomo la decisión de trasladarse a la ciudad de Bogotá. En esta ciudad vivió y trabajo por 8 años como conductor en la Empresa de Los Buses Municipales de Bogotá y en el cual conoció a su esposa, Margarita Salgado con quien hasta el día llevaba 68 años de matrimonio.

En su juventud, Eduardo era muy aficionado al deporte, lo cual participo y jugo en un equipo  de Basquetbol formado con sus compañeros de trabajo de los Buses Municipales de Bogotá.

En el año 1963, a la edad de 33 años, Eduardo tomo la decisión de viajar a los Estados Unidos en donde se radico junto con su Esposa, Margarita Becerra y sus hijos.

Eduardo trabajo en la compañía Richard Rack, por 15 años en los Estados Unidos. Durante estos años también abrió una compañía de costura junto con su esposa, Margarita en el cual desempeño la tarea de administrar y transportar la mercancía de prendas a las respectivas compañías con las que tenían relación comercial.

En 1971 viajo de nuevo para Colombia a donde comenzó una carrera como guía de turismo en  los Hoteles Tequendama y Continental en la Ciudad de Bogotá por 20 años .

Al regresar a los estados Unidos en 1992, en donde se radico permanentemente. Fue miembro y Presidente por dos años del Club Abraham Lincoln en la ciudad de Santa Fe Springs. Durante su vida viajo a México, Nueva York, Miami y tomo 3 Cruceros al Caribe del este y el oeste, a Bahamas y Puerto Rico.

Eddie, como también se le llamaba cariñosamente, tenía un buen sentido del humor y siempre quería contar sus anécdotas sin dejar de hacernos reír cuando lo hacía. Le gustaba mucho bromear con la gente como gesto de confianza y amistad.  Fue un ser muy cariñoso y generoso especialmente con sus nietos y bisnietos a quienes siempre tenía presente. Le encantaban las reuniones familiares y salir a disfrutar de la vida. Fue muy apasionado a las Corridas de Toros, también, era apasionado en aprender sobre la naturaleza y el reino animal. Tambien disfrutaba  mucho jugar Ajedrez, al cual tenia mucha experiencia y jugaba con todos, familia o amigos quienes lo retaban pero nunca pudieron tener exito en ello contra Eddie.

En Mayo 4 del 2025, Dios en su infinita misericordia llamo a Eddie a su Reino por que ya habia cumplido su destino y nos dejó para apreciar su memoria a su querida esposa, Margarita Becerra.

Su Hijo, Omar Eduardo Becerra, quien precedio a su padre, a su Nuera, Rusbelina Becerra, a sus Nietos Jacqueline Becerra- Lissing  y Esposo, Adriane Lising a sus Bisnietos, Anderson Lising y Autumn Lising,  A su Nieto, Omar Alexis Becerra y Esposa, Hilda Becerra, a sus Bisnietos, Daniel Becerra, Audrey Becerra y Celine Becerra

A su Hija Nubia Sanders y Esposo Derrick Roberson, a sus Nietos Jonathan Sanders, y Esposa,  Michelle Aziz Sanders, Jenna Mcintire y Andrea Sanders, a sus Bisnietos, GG Sanders Gaudon, Benjamin Fox Winkler y Hugo Lamm.

A su Hijo Julio Cesar Becerra y Esposa Soraya Alarcon , a sus Nietas, Zaira Becerra, Yvette Becerra  y a su Nieto Christian Leon.

Celebrating the Life of Eduardo Becerra

Luis Eduardo Becerra was born in Ubate, Cundinamarca. His parents Alberto Becerra and Teresa Garzon de Becerra, on April 14, 1930.

Eduardo was one of the eight siblings,  Leonor Becerra de Forero, Jose Becerra, Lilia Becerra, Isabel Becerra de Gozalez, Alberto Becerra, Teresa Becerra de Rocha, and Jorge Becerra....

Eduardo lived in this Colombian region until he was 18 years old.  The family made the decision to move to the city of Bogota. In this city he lived and worked for 8 years as a  Conductor with the Municipal Bus Company of Bogota and in which he met his wife, Margarita Salgado, with whom he had been married for 68 years to date.

In his youth, Eduardo was very fond of sports, which he participated and played in a Basketball team formed with his co-workers from the Municipal Buses of Bogota.

In 1963, at the age of 33, Eduardo made the decision to travel to the United States where he settled with his wife, Margarita Becerra, and their children.

Eduardo worked at the Richard Rack company as a Welder for 15 years in the United States. During these years he also opened a company together with his wife, Margarita, in which he carried out the task of managing and transporting the clothing merchandise to their respective companies with whom they had a commercial relationship.

In 1971 he traveled again to Colombia where he began a career as a Tourism Guide at the Tenquendama and Continental Hotels in the City of Bogota for 20 years.

Eduardo returned to settle permanently in the United States in 1992. He was a Member and President for 2 years of the Abraham Lincoln Senior Club in the city of Santa Fe Springs. During his life he traveled to Mexico, New York and Miami and took 3 Cruises to the eastern and western Caribbean, to the Bahamas and Puerto Rico.

Eddie, as he was also affectionately called,  had a good sense of humor and always wanted to tell his anecdotes while still making us laugh when he did it. He really liked to joke with people as a gesture of trust and friendship.  He was a very loving and generous being, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he always kept in mind. He loved family gatherings and going out to enjoy life. He was very passionate about Bullfighting, he was also passionate with learning about nature and the animal kingdom. Eddie also enjoyed playing the game of Chess, he was quite knowledgeable and gifted at it, defeating  all those that requested a game with him, family or friends.

On May 4, 2025, God in his infinite mercy and wisdom,  called Eddie to his Kingdom. His destiny was fulfilled and divine purpose accomplished. He was Preceded in death by his Son Omar Eduardo Becerra.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved Wife, Margarita Becerra,

His Daughter Nubia Sanders and Husband Derrick Roberson,  his Grandchildren, Jonathan Sanders and Wife,  Michelle Aziz Sanders,  Jenna Mcintire and Andrea Sanders,  his Great--grandchildren, GG Sanders Gaudon, Benjamin Fox Winkler and Hugh Lamm.

His Son, Julio Cesar Becerra and Wife, Soraya Alaron, His Grandaughters, Zaira Becerra and Yvette Becerra and  his Grandson, Christian Leon.

His Daughter-in-law, Rusbelina Becerra, his Grandchildren Jacqueline Becerra-Lising and Husband, Adriane Lising by his Great-grandchildren,  Anderson Lising and Autumn Lising.
