Obituary
Lynn Jenine Henn, 67, passed away on August 7, 2015, in Newport Beach, California. She was born on January 16, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her husband Michael, parents Stanley and Alice Stepnik, brother Joseph Stepnik, daughters Kirsten Ingham (Jeff), Emily Barry (Jim), and Lindsey Henn, along with five grandchildren Andrew, Will, Audrey, Reagan and Addison.
Lynn grew up in Chicago where she graduated from Forman High School in 1965, and attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. She was married to Gerald Cimo in 1970 for 11 years. She was married to Michael Henn in Evanston, Illinois in 1982, with whom she shared a loving marriage for 33 years until her passing. In 1986, Lynn and her family moved to Glendora California and subsequently to Newport Beach, California in 2003.
Lynn loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her vivacious personality and charm were always evident. She was a wonderful listener, with an equally wonderful and disarming sense of humor that she shared with everyone she met. Family came first for Lynn in all that she did. She loved deeply, and shared that love with her husband Michael, her parents, children and grandchildren, as well as all of her family and extended family. Food was her lifelong passion, and she was an accomplished gourmet chef. Lynn also loved to travel and reveled in experiencing fine food and hotels wherever she went.
Memorial services will be held in Park Ridge, IL at 1:00 PM at the Park Ridge Presbyterian Church, followed immediately by a celebration of life at the Park Ridge Country Club.
A second celebration of life will be held in Corona del Mar, California from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Sherman Library and Gardens.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hoag Hospital Foundation. This local hospital in Newport Beach provided the family with incredible support and care over the past years.
