Obituary
Margaret Singh Hulsey, age 101, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, in Irvine, California. Born in Holtville, California, on October 18, 1923, she was the beloved daughter of Briam and Thomasa Singh. She was known lovingly as Mom, Nana, great grandma and great, great grandma. She lived her life for Jesus and taught her children and childrens children to do the same. Â Margaret leaves an incredible legacy of love and gentleness along with a warm smile to everyone she met. Â Whomever she came into contact with loved her.
Margaret grew up surrounded by her six siblings—Richard, Isabelle, Nacho, Louie, Esther, and Raymond—and was known for her joyful spirit and radiant smile. At age 17, she was crowned Cotton Queen of Northern California , a reflection of her grace and charm.
She married Kishen Deol and later Del Hulsey, building a life rooted in love and devotion. Margaret worked in food service at Anaheim General Hospital for 12 years, and later at Dana Hills High School , where she served students and staff with warmth and care.
Her homes included El Centro, Huntington Beach, Talent, Oregon, and San Juan Capistrano. She was a
Deaconess
at the First Christian Church of El Centro, and her passions included
dancing, bowling, and cooking
. She loved her bible study group and was an avid reader. Margaret was known for her laughter, kindness, and unwavering faith.
