IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Ann
Rowland
September 6, 1950 – March 5, 2024
Margaret Ann "Margie" Rowland passed away in Laguna Nigel, CA on March 5, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. Margaret was born on September 6, 1950, in Florence, CO and is survived by her husband, Ronald Rowland, and daughters Jennifer Rowland (Adam Brezette) and Danielle Rowland Hale (Jonathan Hale). She was the eldest child of the late Esperanza M. Gallardo and Joe M. Gallardo and was preceded in death by her brother Joseph "JoJo" Gallardo. She is survived by her siblings Ramona Brooke (Clark), Shirley Jo Johnson (Charles), David Gallardo (Cindy), and Bobbi Gallardo, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many wonderful friends.
Margaret graduated from Florence High School in 1968 and married Ron on April 25, 1970, at St. Benedicts in Florence, CO. Ron and Margie truly were soulmates and were married for 53 years. They moved to Michigan in 1970 where Margaret supported Ron while he finished college. During their marriage, they returned to Colorado and later relocated to their final home in Laguna Niguel, California. Margie believed that "every pot had a lid" and Ron was the only "lid" she ever wanted. Theirs was a lasting love story.
The light of Margaret's life was her family. Being a wife and mother were her most important and cherished roles. She was so proud of her daughters and considered being a mother her greatest accomplishment. She loved watching them grow and thrive finding their careers and life partners (aka their "lids").
Margaret also enjoyed and excelled in her professional roles. Her early career was in healthcare at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. She was always passionate about helping others and loved working at the hospital. After leaving healthcare, she owned and operated several businesses with her husband, Ron. Margie and Ron were always a team in life, and in business until they both retired in 2016.
Margaret was a very thoughtful person. She loved to send cards just to let people know she was thinking of them. Her family called her the "Hallmark Queen" because she always knew what to do and what to send to let everyone know she was thinking about them. Margaret also loved to throw parties and host celebrations. Graduations, anniversaries, holidays, no matter what the occasion, Margaret was the most amazing hostess.
Margie was a force to be reckoned with but also kind, loving, and generous. Her heartbroken family misses her fiercely and invites you to join them in celebrating the life of this remarkable woman.
