Marie Carmen Ferrin was born Dec 18th, 1921 and passed away on September 1, 2015 at the age of 93. She was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Laguna Arts Festival, and volunteered at South Coast and Saddleback Hospitals as a "Pink Lady". Marie is survived by her 2 sons, Anthony Jr. and Robert, 5 Grandchildren (Kristin, Jenifer, Anthony III, Daniel, and Jeffrey), and 7 Great Grandchildren (Kelsey, Caleb, Alexis, Anthony IV, Addison, Brinley, and Brooklyn).

Marie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to her parents, Juan and Rosa Rojas. In 1943, she married her husband Anthony Alvarez in San Antonio, TX.

Marie loved dancing, music, baking, cooking, traveling and was a voracious reader. Marie was a treasured friend to many, and had a wonderful sense of humor and an intense love of life that was evident to anyone that met her. Marie adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and will be sorely missed be her family. Per Marie's wishes, her ashes will be scattered in places she loved.

Everyone is invited to her celebration of life on September 4th, at 12:00 at McCormick and Son Mortuary, 25002 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie's name to the Laguna Festival of Arts.

Marie was an amazing person whose legacy of love will never be forgotten.
