Marion Caspary Roxstrom
September 18, 1924 – October 30, 2025

Marion, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 101.

Born on September 18, 1924, in Los Angeles, predeceased by her husband of 49 years Harry (Jay) Roxstrom, her parents, her sisters: Anita, Ursula and Gretchen and brothers: Girard and Gilbert. Marion lived a long and remarkable life filled with faith, love and service. She loved her God, her family, her country and her neighbors, and she demonstrated that love every day through kindness, generosity and quiet strength.

A devoted mother of five, she poured her heart into raising her family and nurturing those around her. She is survived by her children: Lisa Willis, Joe Roxstrom (Jennifer), Tony Roxstrom, Anita Smith (Mark), Susan Miller (Tim), eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two more on the way, all of whom were blessed to be guided by her steady wisdom and unconditional love.

Marion dedicated her professional life to teaching English, sharing her passion for language and learning with generations of students. Even after retiring, her commitment to serving others never waned—she continued delivering Meals on Wheels until the age of 95, bringing not only nourishment but companionship and warmth to those in need.

She was a woman who never had a bad word to say about anyone, choosing instead to see the good in all people. Her gentle spirit, quick smile, and unwavering faith touched countless lives and will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A special thank you to all those who cared for her in her final years.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 11 AM at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church, Newport Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Orange County or the Immaculate Heart Community .
