IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark
Reasinger
May 2, 1956 – September 20, 2025
Mark Douglas Reasinger, born on May 2, 1956, was a beloved husband, proud father and grandfather, brother, minister, mentor, cancer survivor, and life coach who devoted his life to his family, friends, and helping those in need. He was welcomed into Heaven on the afternoon of September 20, 2025, his 28th wedding anniversary with his wife and soulmate, Denyse.
Mark's life story is one of many miracles, where his ability to impact people's lives was made possible through the trials and tribulations from which he emerged. From his tumultuous youth, Mark gained a unique perspective and the wisdom to create deep connections with the countless people he helped, many times pulling people out of the darkest times of their lives, and effecting positive change with his experience, guidance, and solutions for life balance and transformation, a methodology he called "5 Star Balance."
It was always clear that God had blessed Mark with many talents and gifts, including music, art, creativity, athleticism, and entrepreneurship. However, Mark's life journey would take a drastic turn in 1987 when God intervened and changed his life forever, setting him on a new path of recovery that would define the next 38 years. During that time and until his last breath, Mark committed his life to being a good steward of the blessings bestowed upon him and his family.
Mark considered one of his greatest achievements to be the creation of the Ambullneo Mastiff, a dog breed he developed over four decades, possessing all the most sought-after traits of the perfect companion and guardian canine. The Ambullneo Mastiff proved to be an ideal family companion and protector for thousands of families, including several high-profile Hollywood actors, producers, musicians, and sports team owners. His legacy will live on through the Ambullneo Mastiff, carried forward by close friends, family, and the Ambullneo community Mark created.
Mark was also a highly gifted songwriter, musician, and professional vocalist, featured on two full-length studio albums with his band, Black Cat Mojo, enjoyed by fans worldwide. Spanning Mark's long music career, he opened for legendary artists such as Etta James, Tower of Power, Eric Burdon and The Animals, and many others. Mark also played several instruments, including bass, guitar, drums, and harmonica.
For the last several years, he was deeply involved with the After School Music Academy, a top-tier after-school music and art program serving hundreds of schools across California. Mark's contributions were critical to the success of this program that was so close to his heart.
Mark's remarkable life story was featured in the book Mugshots: A Celebration of the Journey from Ruin to Redemption as well as in the documentary on the Ambullneo Mastiff by DogumentaryTV on YouTube.
Those who knew Mark personally knew that he would always make himself available for people in need, no matter the time, day, or circumstance. He loved life with all his heart and soul and lived every day to its absolute fullest. He is survived by his devoted wife, Denyse; sons, Mark and Valle; daughter, Janet; his grandsons, who brought him great joy; and sisters, Pamela and Phyllis. Our hearts are broken, but we are comforted in knowing he is at the right hand of God in Heaven.
