Mark Adam Shabsin was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 15th, 1951 to Dorothy and Edward Shabsin, and grew up with his two brothers and one sister. He moved around in his youth due to his father being in the military, living for a time in Washington D.C and even in the Philippines. He entered college at the University of Ohio State, where he went on to get a degree in Psychology.

He met the love of his life at 33 years old, Linda Shabsin, and they were married just a year later. They had two children together, Michael and Geoffrey. Mark worked for Mitsubishi and Toyota before changing careers as a manager and then selling insurance. He coached his son's youth basketball league and supported his children in all their pursuits.

Mark was a dedicated father and loving husband. He always thought of others whenever he made any decision. He was a big sports fan, and always supported Ohio State by watching every one of their games. Mark was always there when his children needed advice or when his wife needed his support.

Sadly, he passed away from complications due to a COVID-19 infection that took his life on October 2nd 2024. He will always be remembered as a kind and loving person, who always strived to do the right thing and always worked hard in his life and career. We will remember his life on October 17th of this year.
