Mary-Katherine “Katie” Gustavson

Mary-Katherine “Katie” Gustavson (née Barnes), 53, passed away on May 15, 2026.

Katie is survived by her children, Sophie Gustavson, Cecily Gustavson, and Jace Gustavson; her parents, Mark Barnes and Katherine Barnes (Robert); her siblings, Kristin Gerry (Scott), Julia Graves (Mike), and Brian Barnes (Joanna); her former husband, Jeff Gustavson; and a very large and loving extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her first husband, Joseph Canciamilla; and her nephew, Noah McCafferty.

A service will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Pleasant Hill, California at 1:00 on June 10th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
