Obituary
Mary Frances Martin Mann was born on August 9, 1924 and passed away on October 14, 2015 at the age of 91, in Laguna Hills, California. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Farley G. Mann and their daughters Nancy Mann, Marilee Cosgrove and Laurel Vogel, son in law Michael Vogel, as well as, her grandchildren Christopher and Steven Cosgrove, Bobby, Julia and Melinda Vogel. Mary is preceded in Death by her parents, Walker and Dorothy Martin, brother Bill Martin and sister Dorothy Hicks.
Mary "Marty" was born in Omaha, Nebraska, the youngest of three children. She attended Benson High School in Omaha, Nebraska. She was married at 19 to her high school sweetheart and true love, Farley Mann. They lived in Los Angeles while Farley attended UCLA after WWII. They had 3 daughters and eventually settled in Fullerton, California. They retired for a time in Grass Valley and Oceanside, California before moving to Laguna Hills two years ago to be closer to their daughters.
Marty was an active member of the Presbyterian Church. She has served as a Deacon and in various volunteer positions. She was a member of the St. Jude Guild, Children's Home Society, and Girl Scout and Brownie Leader plus an active member and officer in the PTA. She worked many years along side her husband at their Rayne Soft Water franchise.
Marty was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was sweet, kind and had a sunny disposition. She kept a warm and loving home and everyone loved her. She enjoyed being with her family, playing bridge with friends and traveling the world with Farley. Her favorite spot was sitting next to Farley at Jenny Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park.
Marty was adored by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. They are comforted in the knowledge that she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, safe and pain free in His loving arms.
