Mary Therese McIntosh, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her home, in the early morning of Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020. Mary, better known as "Teasa" to her family, was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt and a true friend to all who knew her.

She had a real zest for life. Always talking, laughing and collecting friends along the way. From High School (Catholic Girls High), to her various jobs (Security Pacific Bank, Safeway, ABSUSD & Cigna Medical Group), to her lifelong Norwalk neighbors, and of course, to all of the friendships made through adult education classes and the local senior citizens' centers.

Mary's family was her greatest joy. She shared 60 years with her beloved husband John McIntosh, whom she met at a St. Michael's Singles Dance in Los Angeles; they always took the time to share a dance. Mary was so proud of their three children, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Caring for and watching their growth throughout the years brought Mary great happiness and true fulfillment.

Second only to the love she had for her dear family and friends, was traveling. She was a "goer". She loved to take trips, no matter how long or short.In the early years, it was camping in a tent, then a camper, and finally upgrading to motels and hotels. She was always talking about her recent trips and of course, planning her next one.

In heaven, Mary now joins her husband John, her brother Walter and parents James and Mary Kelly. She is survived by her brother Jim, her sister-in-law Mary Lilian, her brother-in-law John, her children Kurt, Lynne and Tim, her daughter-in-law Inez and her grandchildren Andrew (26) and Leslie (14). It is very difficult to say goodbye to such a lovely human being, but we rejoice in the fact that we had her here with us for as long as we did, and we are comforted knowing she is now with our Lord.

Services will be held at 9am, Thursday, October 8th, 2020, at St. John of God Catholic Church, 13819 Pioneer Blvd., Norwalk, California.
