Obituary

Michael Bilotta, 90, passed away November 1, 2013. He is survived by his wife Donna of 66 years, their two children, John Bilotta of Washington, DC, and

Michelle McCullough of Laguna Beach, CA, and five granddaughters. Mike and Donna moved to Laguna Hills a few years ago from West Covina, where they lived for 52 years.

Born in Chicago, Mike was one of nine children of Italian immigrant parents, growing up on the Southside of the City, making him a lifelong White Sox fan. As a Military policeman in WWII, Mike landed on the beaches in Normandy in June, 1944 and was in Germany on VE day, 1945. A graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, Mike was recalled to active duty in Korea and stayed in the Army reserves, retiring as a Major.

Mike spent most of his professional career as a teacher, coach, and Special Education principal for the LA County School System. After retirement, he and Donna traveled extensively in Europe and Asia and shared their love of ballroom dancing at events throughout Southern California.

Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and friend. Everyone who knew his friendship, love, and laughter will miss him dearly.
