Obituary

Michael Stephen Endert, age 75, went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2017 in Tustin, California, with his family by his side after a brief
illness.Michael was born July 13, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Son of Kenneth G. and Elizabeth B. Endert.He was the eldest of 6 siblings:
Thomas Endert, Mary Blue (William), Kathleen Endert, Maureen Endert-Weber (Wayne) and Joseph Endert (Beth).He was predeceased in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth, his brother, Thomas Endert,brother-in-law, William Blue, and his cousin, Shannon Fletcher.He is also survived by his companion of 30+ years, Thelma Lampley,his only daughter, Heidi Ann Endert and her fiance, Lincoln Dunigan, and his former wife and friend, Linda Lane.He was a Uncle to Arwen Scheibe (Gord), Preston Endert, Courtney Endert, Emily Endert, Abigail Endert, and Rebecca Endert. He was Cousin to Pat and Judy Londo, Shawn Fletcher, Ramona Fletcher (Julie),Thomas Fletcher, and Roger Olson (Virginia).He was a Great Uncle to Colton Scheibe.Michael suffered a traumatic motorcycle accident in 1976.His devotion to his rehabilitation inspired his daughter, Heidi, to become a Physical Therapist.Her article about witnessing his recovery was published in the American Physical Therapy Association publication.After a miraculous recovery, he returned to college to achieve his Manufacturing Engineering degree from South Seattle Community College, graduating with honors in the late 1970's.He began a successful career in Aerospace beginning at Boeing of Everett (Washington) which took him to various places including Southern California working at General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, McDonnell Douglas, and Sikorsky Aircraft in Connecticut.Michael took an early retirement from Northrop Grumman and relocated from Southern California to Everett, Washington, to finish out his career with Boeing of Everett.After a 15 year stay in Everett, WA,from 1997 to 2013, he relocated to Laguna Woods, CA, to be closer to his only daughter, Heidi Endert.Michael was a devoted Catholic attending Mass daily, first at St. Mary Magdalen in Everett, WA, and at St. Nicholas Church in Laguna Woods, CA.He was an active volunteer and member of the Knights of Columbus while residing in Everett.Michael had a smile and kind word for everyone he came in contact with and will be greatly missed by his family and close friends, including highschool friends, Pat McKasy, Pat Shannon and Tom Hall.He was an avid walker and was seen daily in Laguna Woods going for his multiple walks.On weekends, he explored the Southern California sites with his daughter, Heidi, and was always up for an adventure. Michael was a positive spirit, and saw the bright side of life in every circumstance.His spirit, love of family and friends, and his smile made this world a better place.In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities is suggested. A Celebration of Life is planned for June 23rd at 11:30 at Incarnation Catholic Church in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
