Michele Helm, born on January 13, 1949, Orange, California, passed peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Michele was lovingly known to her grandchildren as Nana.  Born to George and Amy Girouard, she has 5 siblings Deidre (passed), Greg (passed), Mike, Jerilyn (passed), and Geraldine (passed).  She is survived by her brother Mike Griouard, her two children Dirk van der Linden Jr., and Tonja Michele Lohrman, and her two grandchildren Ruby Rae and Lily White Lohrman.

Michele lived in Garden Grove while growing up and met her first husband and the father of her children Dirk van der Linden Sr.  They had two children, Dirk Jr. and Tonja Michele.

Michele Helm worked for Pacific Bell/AT & T for 25 years.  She moved to San Ramon and then Tracy California until she retired.  Then she moved back to Orange County to be close to her grandchildren.

In 2009 she married Larry Helm and they lived happily in Huntington Beach, California until her passing.

Michele's greatest pleasure in life was her faith to Jesus Christ and her two grandchildren Ruby Rae Lohrman and Lily White Lohrman.

Michele loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.

Michele's celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church of Huntington Beach, 8281 Garfield Ave. Huntington Beach, California, 92646, followed by a reception.
