Minasegan “Shahbazi” Shahbazian passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, surrounded by family. Shahbazi leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, love, and unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Shahbazi was born on June 9, 1949, in Tehran, Iran. He was born just days after the death of his father, Yeprem. He was raised by his mother, Yeghisabet (predeceased), and sisters Narmnaz (predeceased), Ariknaz, and Maryam. His children, Yvette and Andrew, were his greatest pride and joy. He also shared a deep bond with his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He cherished the time spent together and the memories they created.
Shahbazi was full of life—warm, empathetic, and deeply loyal. He had a remarkable way of drawing people in and making them feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely loved. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and connection. His friendships were lifelong and meaningful. They were built on loyalty, sincerity, and heart. Whether helping, offering comforting words, or simply being present, Shahbazi made people feel seen and heard. His greatest joy came from time spent with loved ones. He savored gatherings, conversations, laughter, and the simple moments that became lasting memories.
A love of the outdoors brought Shahbazi peace, especially near the water. An avid fisherman and strong swimmer, he found happiness in nature and simple pleasures. He also brought people together through food. An incredible cook, especially at the grill, he prepared meals not just to satisfy appetites, but to create warmth, laughter, and togetherness.
Those who knew him will recall his generous heart, vibrant spirit, and contagious energy. They will also recall the way he made people feel important simply by being himself. He lived with heart, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Though he will be profoundly missed, the love he shared and the lives he touched will remain forever in their hearts.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart forever.” — Psalm 73:26
