Obituary

Nancy Alice Fowler, born February 1st, 1946 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 28th, 2021 at Hoag hospital in Newport Beach California. Nancy was lovingly known as Saucy to her dad Albert. Born to Albert and Gertrude Bonk she has four siblings John, Maryanne, Albin, and Chicky. Nancy moved to California where she married and raised three children Robin, Samantha and Craig.

Nancy built businesses with her ex-husband Ron Fowler and after spending many years as a stay-at-home mom worked with West Shores Ambulance Service as an Emergency Medical Technician II until her divorce with Ron. After finding her beloved ranch in Whitewater California she founded Park-a-Pet-Lodge where she cared for thousands of dogs, cats, pigs, goats, horses and birds over the last 20 years and pioneered a cage free loving home environment where people could leave their pets in her care. Nancy would write letters from the pets explaining the great time each pet had in her care and she quickly grew her business with the love and support from her community. She is survived by her children Robin, Sam and Craig, her Sister Chicky and brother-in-law Bill, and several other nieces and nephews.

Nancy enjoyed all types of activities including cooking, sewing clothes and costumes for her children, ceramics, crocheting, performing in dog shows, riding horses and teaching her children all of these activities. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and spared no expense when attempting to spoil them at young ages.
Nancy's pride and joy was her beloved dogs. Ash, Tater-Tot, Keva, Shylo, Storm, Professor Higgins, Hershey and Castor to name a few. When her poodle Paris became pregnant and had nine husky-poo puppies she was in heaven with the largest pack of mischief anybody could imagine and although a many were adopted, she loved each one of the remaining pups in her loving home and they helped run the ranch with her.

Nancy's greatest pleasure in life was creating, building and accomplishing things with her hands. She could do anything she put her mind too. She typed computer programs out of magazines for her 12 year old son Craig who couldn't type so well, remodeling her kitchen without a contractor, and somehow found a rhythm to care for up to 30 loose dogs at a time, she was an amazing task master. Nancy loved her children and would do anything they asked for without giving it a second thought.
Nancy was a very tough woman and fought her chronic illness to the very end, she still attempted to cook, shop, and never stopped dreaming of things she wanted to accomplish. She never stopped trying to do things for her son Craig even though her illness had her in a very weakened state. Nancy moved in with her son Craig in April 2019 when it was too difficult for her to care for her well-being and care for the ranch and business by herself.

Nancy didn't ask for much but would let out a very distinctive giggle when you thought of her or surprised her with something she loved. Nancy loved the time spent with clients and family. She was a very generous woman. She would give you her last penny if you asked and unlimited time which is priceless.

Service announcements will be forthcoming.
