Nancy J. Hess passed at homecare in Mission Viejo on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025. Her husband Raymond C. Hess, son Brandon Hess, and daughter Christine Hess were with her in her final hours before passing. Nancy was born on the 4th of July 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to Ira and Lucretia Russell. She grew up in Dayton, graduated from Juliene High School where she met the love of her life Ray, and attended University of Dayton. They married in 1970 and later moved to St. Louis for work. Not long after, Nancy and Ray moved to California, where they raised their family.

She is survived by her husband Raymond, son Brandon, daughter Christine, son-in-law Aaron, granddaughter Caira, and grandson Kingsley – as well as many cousins and nieces and nephews. She will be missed deeply and always adored by her family. Rest in peace our sweet Mom.

Services:

The funeral Mass will take place on Friday, November 14th 2025, at 11:00am at Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano, followed by internment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
