Obituary

Thursday the 24th of October 2019, Narmnaz "Nazy" Doumad, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at Mission Hospital. Nazy was born on March 21, 1942 in Tehran, Iran. Nazy is predeceased by her daughter Barbara. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George; her children Michael and Betty; her grandchildren Lycinda and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Mason, Jacob, Khloe and Mikayel; and siblings Ariknaz, Maryam and Minasegan.

Nazy was known for her love of family, generous heart, and playful sense of humor. She was lovingly called "Lioness" by those who knew her well because of her strength and protective nature towards her loved ones. Nazy helped anyone that needed help. Gave home to the homeless, food to the hungry, motherly love to the motherless and support to anyone that needed it. When she entered the room she lit it up with her big, bright and beautiful smile as well as her great personality. To know her was truly to love her.

Early in her life, Nazy was a fashion designer and dressmaker. She gave up her career to raise her children and care for her family. Later in life, Nazy returned to school to get her CNA certification to work with people suffering from Dementia related ailments. It was ironic that she succumbed to the disease herself. She will truly be missed by all who knew her and her void will be greatly felt by her family and friends.

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn't make you stay.

Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
