Obituary

Nataline U. Miller, born May 22, 1931, Los Angeles CA, passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in her Mission Viejo home.Raised in Los Angeles, Nataline spent many years living in West Covina, where she settled down with her family. Nataline had been diagnosed with cancer and was in remission when the terrible disease returned. She faced the end with grace and dignity, as well as some laughter and some tears, but always love.
She is survived by her sons Michael Pechthalt (Elsa) and Jon Miller (Suzanne), daughters Jodi Miller and Jami Jennings (Jim), granddaughters Pamela Pechthalt, Michelle Pechthalt, Erin Jennings and Lauren Jennings, sister Irene Goldman, nephews Jeff Goldman (John Haronik), Joshua Pechthalt (Lynne) and niece Lisa Pepper (Gary) and their families, Dani Pechthalt and Jacqueline Pepper.
Nataline was grateful that she lived a full and satisfying life. She stressed education for her children. She supported them in their hobbies and provided them with opportunities to travel. Nataline also introduced her children to international exchange students and guests from many countries, most notably from Sweden, where her family hosted Johan Ling-Vannerus and Anna Falck Abrahamsson, who enriched her family in many ways.Nataline treated those who she met with kindness, respect, and dignity.
Nataline also enjoyed enormous love for animals over the years, having cared for many pets such as the family golden retriever Shayna, too many Burmese cats to name and, most recently, a lively Pug named Rooney.
She was an avid bridge player who played weekly for many years. She loved to travel and took many trips near and far with family and friends. She also loved to gamble and spent many a fun day at the casino.
Nataline will be remembered for her infectious laugh, silly sense of humor and the love she had for each member of her family.
Private services were held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest, where she was laid to rest.In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Nataline's memory with a charitable donation are invited to make donations in her name to Planned Parenthood or DAWG Mission Viejo.
