Norma was born into a large family. Her parents, Aslee and Verlin Goins, had 13 children with only the last one, Kenneth, being born in a hospital. The other 12 were all born at home. Norma grew up in Michigan. She helped alot with her younger siblings. She always loved school and learning but unfortunately her mother fell ill and she had to stay home to care for her. Norma expressed sadness because she never returned to school after her mother got better. Norma worked in a neighborhood grocery store/bakery and really enjoyed that. When she was 18 years old she married a young handsome Wylie Click. They had 2 sons born in Michigan, Billy Ray Click born 9/20/48 (deceased) and Keith Edward Click born 1/21/52 (residing in Fontana, KS) and 1 daughter born in California, Karen Elaine (Click) Ulrich born 5/18/62 (residing in Lake Forest, CA). Norma and Wylie were married over 50 years and were able to celebrate their 50 year anniversary at a party in their honor.

After moving to California from Michigan, Norma was employed at Savon Drugstore in the cosmetic department. She was there over 25 years before retiring. She enjoyed helping her customers and was very knowledgable about cosmetics. Some of her best girlfriends were one's that she met while working at Savon's. She went to Maui with one of them and the highlight of their trip was going to the Don Ho Show (Tiny Bubbles). Norma liked to laugh and have fun. She enjoyed attending Church of the Nazarene in Torrance for many years.

After retiring, Norma and Wylie resided in Palm Springs, CA. They both enjoyed their time there. They attended the Nazarene Church there as well. They loved the beautiful views from their windows. They also loved when family would visit and swim in the pool. After Wylie passed, Norma left Palm Springs and after a few years she remarried a sweet man from Ohio, Rex Swanson. He was a widower and together they had a happy marriage (over 10 years) enjoying some cruises and life together before Rex passed.

Norma stayed in Laguna Woods for a while after Rex's passing. She was able to drive herself to local stores for shopping and to Grace Hills Church nearby. Norma then resided in an apartment at her Granddaughter's house in Lake Forest, she was still attending Grace Hills Church and was able to attend Small Group at the Pastor's house across the street. As time went on Norma needed more assistance and moved to her brother Jerry's house in Torrance. She had help from two excellent caregivers, Marilyn and Susan. She resided there for the last 4 years. Over the last 4 years she had multiple medical issues but she always kept a smile on her face. She loved receiving phone calls. She loved having visitors and going to lunch. But her favorite thing was shopping! When you asked her what she would like to do, it was shopping.

So many times Norma expressed that her strong faith had kept her going. She knew the Lord and spoke to Him daily. She knew where she was going and now her journey is done.

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called Children of God! 1 John 3:1
